The children were asked to recount or describe their trip to Elgregoe in only 140 characters - like a Tweet.

Elgregoe is cool. He has heps of birds, he has a hamster and puppets. This was at the matamata Christian school’s hall. Charlotte got up to help Elgregoe with a trick.

Baliegh

On Thursday we went to Elgergo to see him do tricks at the Christian School. The one that was the best magic was the disapering body trick. It was so cool as we got prizes too.

On the 16th of February we went to the Christian school to watch an illusionist called Elgreogo. He played tricks on you and made us laugh. I adored his birds.

Yesterday we went to Matamata Christian School to see Elgrego. He made birds disappear and cut someone in half which was freaky. There was a jug that unexplainably never stopped pouring water.
Patrick

We went to Elgrego yesterday and there were so many birds. His assistant's name was Sue. He has mind-blowing tricks and thrilling puppets.

Ronald McDonald comes to St Joseph's!

Patrick

Guess what? Ronald McDonald came to our school.  He looked very creepy. My friend Jack said that  Ronald McDonald isn’t wearing paint at all! So that’s weird. Even Mr M shrunk so we had to make him big again.

Tyler

RONALD MCDONALD came to his favourite school. Its saint joseph. Why did RONALD MCDOALD come to school? To teach road safety. He’s funny, fun and silly with his super-duper, stripy, red sock. We saw Mr M in Ronald’s hand. He was so small. Then Ronald  blew Mr M out. . . back to his big size.

Autumn Leaves Creative Writing

Room Two did some fansastic writing today about autumn leaves.

Check it out!!

The leaves crackle when I stand on them.
When I look at the leaves I see firy orange.
The wind makes the leaves slide and twirl to the ground.
I kick them away with my feet
They go whoosh in the wind as it takes them drifting on the breeze.
By Reid

I like to see the autumn leaves spotted different colour. I love the way they crinkle and crunch.
I don’t want to swish them it will make me a fool.
I watch them flip and flap and dive down past me.

It’s like the trees all get their hair shaved off.
By Catherine

There are red, orange and brown leaves drifting down from the trees.
They sway down one by one, gently landing like an aeroplane.
We all run through them and they crunch and crackle like a rusty piece of metal.
The swaying trees are losing their leaves.
I lovely autumn day to play.
By Edward

As I jump through the crackling red crunchy autumn leaves I start chucking them up to the sky.
They start flipping and zig zagging through the air.
It looks like pieces of a puzzle falling from heaven to earth.
They look like purple, red and orange x-rays with big veins.
By Dominic

Leaves swaying down from the trees.
Red, orange and brown leaves.
The veins look like an x-ray.
They crack when people jump through them.
They crunch like rusty metal.
 By Oscar
Autumn leaves fall dancing and zig zagging.
They look like little boats on the water.
Before all the leaves fall from the trees they turn orange, yellow, red and purple.
The leaves are all crunching and crackling on the ground.
Some of the leaves are shaped like hearts and they fall slowly like an aeroplane landing on the ground.
By Alisha
Come and see them all in class!
Well done Room 2!!!
